Construction Where Is Puffy Mattress Manufactured
The Puffy is basically a memory foam mattress that measures a total of 10 inches. It features a simple design with just 2 foam layers: one of thick memory foam and another of high-density poly foam.

Here are the details listed on their website:
10″ MATTRESS | 2 LAYERS
6.5 – 8.5 Medium-Firm Comfort
4″ Cooling Cloud Foam: Puffy’s gel-infused foam increases airflow 8x more than standard foam mattresses. Provides pressure relief and cooling system.
6″ Firm Core Support Foam: Exceptional support and spinal alignment for restorative sleep.
Cover – The cover fabric was quite thin, which provides airflow throughout the mattress. It is made out of polyester, which makes for a soft and elastic material.
Comfort Layer – Comprised of 4″ of gel memory foam, the comfort layer here is soft and has a slow response to pressure, which means you’re likely to sink deep for some intense body contouring. While it’s normal for all-foam beds like this to feature a top section of memory foam, this layer in particular is incredibly thick and should bring some satisfying relief to the hips and shoulders. Although memory foam has a reputation for overheating in the nighttime , Puffy has managed to mitigate this with a gel infusion meant to keep things nice and cool as you are sleeping.
Support Layer – Composed of 6″ of high-density poly foam, unlike the memory foam layer above it, this part has a fast response to pressure and is very firm. The combination of materials has been specifically chosen to bring targeted relief to the spine. Where Is Puffy Mattress Manufactured
We discovered Puffy’s thick memory foam coating with a gentle, pressure-relieving feel. An absence of any sort of transition foam means that you are very likely to interact mainly with the high-density poly foam as you quickly sink through the memory foam comfort layer. Because of this, you are most likely to feel as though you’re sleeping more “in” this mattress than “on top” of it. Although, if you would like an even softer texture, you might want to have a look at the Puffy Lux, which comes with an additional layer of memory foam for an ultra-plush vibe.
One other important aspect to consider when buying a new mattress is where pressure points are going to form while lying on top of it.
To help you picture where these tension spots might be, I placed a pressure map over the mattress and lied on my back, side, and stomach. You can see the results on the chart where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – Lying on my back, I could really feel myself sinking into the mattress, together with the memory foam in the top layer working to contour to my body and fill in the space at my lumbar region. While this led to some fantastic pressure relief in this position, it did make it hard to move around and change positions.
Side – Rolling onto my side, I sensed some pressure relief. I’m not too surprised by this as side sleepers tend to go for softer mattresses which provide cushiony support to the shoulders and hips, common problem areas for people who sleep on their sides.
Stomach – While the thick memory foam comfort layer is a big win for side sleepers, it is a bit of a mixed bag for stomach sleepers who generally opt for firmer mattresses that keep the spine in an even alignment. HereI could feel my hips sinking out of line with my shoulders, which caused some discomfort in this position.
Next up, let us take a peek at the Puffy’s motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance detectable from one side of the mattress into another.
To demonstrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10lb. steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and quantified the disturbance it caused: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
FYI: Every drop is meant to symbolize another movement you are likely to experience in bed, from tossing and turning (4″) to getting out of bed (8″) all the way to full on jumping (12″).
These are really quite intriguing motion transfer outcomes. You’ll notice a slight spike in first movement across the drops that quickly dissipates, which I would attribute to the thick memory foam comfort layer. This material is excellent at absorbing and dampening motion, making it so you are not likely to be too bothered by your partner’s turning and tossing in the night.
While buying a new mattress}, most people want to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it. To visualize this sinkage, I placed four balls of varying sizes and densities on the mattress and also measured how much they compressed the surface.
6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
10 lb steel ball: 2.5 inches of sinkage.
50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
100 lb medicine ball: 7 inches of sinkage.
This tells me is that you’re very likely to sink in deeply through the foam layers within this mattress, resulting in a stuck-in-the-bed type feel that will make it somewhat tricky to change positions. Where Is Puffy Mattress Manufactured
The edge support on the Puffy mattress will feel stable and create a sound, edge to edge usable sleep foundation. The compact base foam coupled with the supportive memory foam should create a very durable perimeter. Sleeping on this mattress you’re able to sense a consistent feel across the whole surface and not have a “rolling out of the bed” feel. As far as sitting on the edge goes, you will feel some support.
101 Night Sleep Trial and Guarantee
The Puffy mattress includes a 101 night sleep trial period. This trial period allows for more than enough time to try this mattress out. Giving you and your body roughly 3 months to adjust to the new and improved feel of your memory foam mattress. It is a good idea to note that you need to make the most of really testing this mattress in this time period. Anytime you get a new mattress your body needs a few weeks to even months to completely adapt. If for some reason you reach the end of your trial period and it’s not a good fit, Puffy will easily work with you to return and refund your purchase.
This mattress has a lifetime warranty which goes above and beyond what the standard warranty for the mattress industry is. This warranty indicates that Puffy actually backs their product. Covering any abnormal defects or manufacturing mistakes. Minus the typical wear and tear of a mattress. This provides consumers with the assurance that this can be a mattress that the company is going to stand behind.

Puffy Mattress Sleep Temperature?
The Puffy mattress incorporates cooling technology in every material of this mattress. The upper layer of memory foam is a patent-pending cooling cloud foam that uses convection and conduction to dissipate heat and keep it away from the body. Additionally,a it is infused with gel that increases the airflow 8x more than standard foam mattresses.
The foundation foam is dense and supportive to create a solid base that won’t let you sink into the mattress and also help keep you closer to the surface where less heat will build around the body. The cover is also breathable to help in keeping cool. All of this allows for your mattress to maintain an perfect temperature while sleeping.
Is The Puffy Mattress Right For You?
First and foremost, I would say this mattress could make an excellent pick for side sleepers as the thick comfort layer works to alleviate tension at the shoulders and hips.
Also note that the Puffy evokes a classic memory foam feel, so could be good for anyone with a penchant for the material. Where Is Puffy Mattress Manufactured
And lastly, this is one soft mattress, so could do wonders for anyone in search of a gentle, soothing mattress.
While the memory foam is a significant selling point of the mattress, it does make things a bit uncomfortable for strict stomach sleepers who might find that it sends their hips out of alignment with their shoulders.
It also contributes to a structure that does not have very much bounce, which might be a detractor for those in need of buoyant support.

The Puffy mattress is a great choice for everyone who want to receive all the advantages of a foam mattress without overpaying. The simple design makes it a classic. Unlike the traditional foam mattresses, this one is going to remain cool and will cradle you fairly well and will provide decent pressure relief. Puffy is extremely sturdy and contains motion isolation that makes it suitable for all different kinds of sleepers. Although, I’d like to say this mattress is an excellent choice for side sleepers as the thick relaxation layer works to alleviate strain in the shoulders and hips. In addition, the mattress provides proper body support and is a great selection for all people who suffer from back pain or joint pain. Where Is Puffy Mattress Manufactured
