Construction Soft Super King Mattress
The Puffy is essentially a memory foam mattress that measures a total of ten inches. It features a straight forward design with just two foam layers: one of thick memory foam and another of high-density poly foam.

Here are the details listed on their website:
10″ MATTRESS | 2 LAYERS
6.5 – 8.5 Medium-Firm Comfort
4″ Cooling Cloud Foam: Puffy’s gel-infused foam increases airflow 8x more than conventional foam mattresses. Provides pressure relief and cooling.
6″ Firm Core Support Foam: Exceptional support and spinal alignment for healing sleep.
Cover – The cover fabric was quite thin, which provides airflow throughout the mattress. It is made from polyester, which makes for a soft and elastic material.
Comfort Layer – Comprised of 4″ of gel memory foam, the comfort layer here is super soft and has a slow response to pressure, which means you are very likely to sink in deep for some intense body contouring. While it’s typical for all-foam beds such as this to incorporate a top section of memory foam, this layer particularly is very thick and ought to bring some satisfying relief to the shoulders and hips. And though memory foam has a reputation for overheating in the night, Puffy has managed to mitigate this using a gel infusion intended to keep things nice and cool as you sleep.
Support Layer – Made up of 6″ of high-density poly foam, unlike the memory foam layer over it, this part has a quick response to pressure and can be very firm. The combination of materials has been specifically chosen to bring targeted relief to the spine. Soft Super King Mattress
We found Puffy’s thick memory foam coating with a gentle, pressure-relieving feel. An absence of any kind of transition foam implies that you’re very likely to interact mainly with the high-density poly foam as you quickly sink through the memory foam comfort layer. Because of this, you’re likely to feel as though you are sleeping more “in” this mattress than “on top” of it. Although, if you would like an even softer feel, you may want to have a look at the Puffy Lux, which comes with an additional layer of memory foam for an ultra-plush vibe.
One other important aspect to consider when buying a new mattress is where pressure points will form while lying on top of it.
To help you picture where these tension spots might be, I put a pressure map over the mattress and lied on my back, side, and stomach. You may see the results on the chart where pressure is represented from blue (low pressure) to red (high pressure).
Back – Lying on my back, I could really feel myself sinking into the mattress, with the memory foam in the top layer working to contour to my own body and fill in the space at my lumbar region. While this resulted in a fantastic pressure relief in this position, it did make it hard to move around and shift positions.
Side – Rolling on my side, I sensed a few pressure relief. I am not overly surprised by this as side sleepers tend to go for softer mattresses which offer cushiony support to the shoulders and hips, common problem areas for people who sleep in their sides.
Stomach – Though the thick memory foam comfort layer is a huge benefit for side sleepers, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for stomach sleepers who generally opt for firmer structures that keep the spine in an even alignment. HereI could feel my hips sinking out of line with my shoulders, which created some discomfort in this position.
Next up, let us take a look at the Puffy’s motion transfer, or the level of disturbance detectable from one side of the mattress to the other.
To illustrate this motion transfer, I dropped a 10lb. steel ball from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches and quantified the disturbance it caused: the bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance.
FYI: Each drop is intended to signify another movement you are likely to experience in bed, from tossing and turning (4″) to getting out of bed (8″) all the way to full on jumping (12″).
These are actually quite interesting motion transfer outcomes. You’ll see a slight spike in first movement across the drops that quickly dissipates, which I would attribute to the thick memory foam comfort layer. This material is excellent at absorbing and dampening motion, which makes it so you’re not likely to be overly bothered by your partner’s turning and tossing in the night.
When purchasing a new mattress}, most people wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it. To visualize this sinkage, I placed four balls of varying sizes and densities on the mattress and also quantified how much they compressed the surface.
6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
10 lb steel ball: 2.5 inches of sinkage.
50 lb medicine ball: 4.5 inches of sinkage.
100 lb medicine ball: 7 inches of sinkage.
This tells me is that you’re very likely to sink deeply through the foam layers in this mattress, resulting in a stuck-in-the-bed type feel that will make it somewhat difficult to change positions. Soft Super King Mattress
The edge support on the Puffy mattress will feel secure and create a sound, edge to edge usable sleep surface. The dense base foam coupled with the supportive memory foam should create a very strong perimeter. Sleeping on this mattress you’re able to sense a consistent feel across the entire surface without having a “rolling out of the bed” feel. So far as sitting on the edge goes, you will feel some support.
101 Night Sleep Trial and Guarantee
The Puffy mattress has a 101 night sleep trial period. This trial period should give you more than enough time to try this mattress out. Giving you and your body roughly 3 months to adjust to the new and improved feel of your memory foam mattress. It is a good idea to be aware that you should make the most of really testing this mattress in this time period. Anytime you buy a new mattress your body needs a few weeks to months to completely adapt. If for some reason you reach the end of your trial period and it’s not a good fit, Puffy will work with you to return and refund your purchase.
This mattress comes with a lifetime warranty which goes above and beyond what the standard warranty for the mattress business is. This warranty shows that Puffy actually backs their product. Covering any abnormal defects or manufacturing mistakes. Minus the typical wear and tear of a mattress. This provides consumers with the confidence that this is a mattress that the company is going to stand behind.

Puffy Mattress Sleep Temperature?
The Puffy mattress incorporates cooling technology in each material of the mattress. The top layer of memory foam is a patent-pending cooling cloud foam that uses conduction and convection to release heat and keep it away from the body. Additionally,a it is infused with gel that improves the airflow 8x more than conventional foam mattresses.
The base foam is dense and supportive to create a solid base that won’t allow you to sink into the mattress and also keep you closer to the surface where less heat will build around the body. The cover is also breathable to aid in keeping cool. All of this enables for the mattress to maintain an ideal temperature while sleeping.
Is The Puffy Mattress Right For You?
First of all, I’d say this mattress could make an excellent pick for side sleepers because the thick comfort layer works to relieve strain in the shoulders and hips.
Also note that the Puffy evokes a classic memory foam texture, so could be good for anybody with a penchant for the material. Soft Super King Mattress
And lastly, this is one soft mattress, so could do wonders for anybody in search of a gentle, soothing structure.
Though the memory foam is a big selling point of the mattress, it does make things a little uncomfortable for strict stomach sleepers who may find that it sends their hips out of alignment with their shoulders.
It also contributes to a structure that doesn’t have very much bounce, which might be a detractor for people needing buoyant support.
Final Thoughts On The Puffy Mattress Soft Super King Mattress
The Puffy mattress is a great choice for everyone that are looking to get all the benefits of a foam mattress without overpaying. The simple design makes it a classic. This mattress is covered in a removable cover that can be unzipped and washed when needed. The top is soft and pliable and fits well to the mattress. It has a rather appropriate and aesthetically pleasing cloud pattern that actually adds to the look. The side panels are a dim gray durable cloth that compliment the mattress as well. Unlike the traditional foam mattresses, this one is going to remain cool and will cradle you fairly well and will provide good pressure relief. Puffy is very sturdy and contains motion isolation that makes it suitable for all different types of sleepers. Although, I’d like to state this mattress is an excellent choice for side sleepers because the thick relaxation layer works to relieve strain in the shoulders and hips. Moreover, the mattress offers proper body support and is a great selection for all people who suffer from back pain or joint pain. Soft Super King Mattress
