Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Is Helix Made By Nectar
Helix Sleep allows complete mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to fill out a survey that discusses their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress variants; each individual option gives a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for side sleepers. While hybrids that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are suitable for all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel more comfy on variants with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them great for couples with differing tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This model has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a large range of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Is Helix Made By Nectar

Construction Is Helix Made By Nectar
All 9 of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in density and firmness based upon the foams utilized in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The 4 different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine unique models (and supposedly have a model for everyone). Is Helix Made By Nectar
Below, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll find a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you are probably going to experience some satisfying body contouring. While it might seem odd for a purportedly medium firm bed to incorporate a memory foam layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and establish a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Since the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to give additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This section doesn’t really affect the feel of the mattress too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their varying firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on which variant you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which will be very versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with additional options.
Lying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and produces some high quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and make an overall firmer composition. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lumbar while supporting your back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or those who prefer a firmer mattress, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Majority of side sleepers should feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, but, if you are wanting less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most of their weight on a tinier region. People who are lighter than average or those looking for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can ensure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their backbone.
Last, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners who weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, the company has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that’s made to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Partners with different body types or preferences can also select a dual comfort option that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of these models feel right, you could always have a look at the 4 other models in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Now, let’s chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s detectable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be important for many buyers, those who sleep with a spouse may find it especially intriguing as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space due to the quantity and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils which help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that motion from the opposite side of the bed will bother you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this mattress. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While getting a new mattress, most people wish to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
While you may encounter some immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through these layers, you’ll find the individually-wrapped coils and feel amazing support. This combo will interest a vast range of individuals, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the mattress, the pocketed coils prevent the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel very secure sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their newly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfortable and secure. Couples who need more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I could get near the edge of the bed without feeling like I’ll roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically come with. Helix is no different. You customize the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it’s sent to your home. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not what you wanted, you can return it free, and receive a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not restocked or resold. Actually, Helix does its best to find a local place to donate it. If there’s no way the company can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, they have it recycled instead. Is Helix Made By Nectar
The Helix Mattress includes an amazing 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it has some limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the original owner of the Helix to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to have a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4″ apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or longer, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleaning, it’s suggested to use cool water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Be sure that you clean using soft circular movements, rather than rubbing.
