Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Is Helix Legit
Helix Sleep gives you full mattress customization. Purchasers are requested to complete a survey that discusses their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other elements. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress options; each individual option provides a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for side sleepers. While those with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 pounds or more often favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets two variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both of these models have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with differing tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection conforms to sleepers with a wide variety of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Is Helix Legit

Construction Is Helix Legit
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be fairly similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness depending on the foams used in order to achieve more/less support and more/less firmness. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the mattresses have all the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 distinct versions (and supposedly have a mattress for everybody). Is Helix Legit
Below, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be thin and stretchy, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you want something more lavish, you can opt to swap out the standard cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you will encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you’re likely to experience some gratifying body contouring. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness bed to make use of a memory foam comfort layer, it’s important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it gives quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and establish a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on the version you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and thus best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to provide you with more choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and generates some high quality body shaping, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and make an overall firmer composition. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your back in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or those who prefer a firmer bed, there are 2 more choices for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Many side sleepers will feel totally comfy on the Midnight, but, if you’re needing a bit less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically need to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with most of their weight on a tinier region. People who are smaller than average or those looking for plenty of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers will feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they have a tendency to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their backbone.
Finally, the manufacturer recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples who weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, the company has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that’s built to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Partners with different types of bodies or tastes may also select a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of these models seem right, you can always have a look at the four other mattresses in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the line).
Now, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s noticeable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be significant for many buyers, those who sleep with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you may be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it incorporates, as well as the pocketed coils which help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper afraid that motion from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this mattress. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
While buying a brand-new mattress, the majority of men and women wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you’ll find the individually-wrapped coils and find amazing support. This combo will appeal to a vast range of individuals, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the individually-wrapped coils prevent the mattress from compressing a lot . I feel quite secured sitting on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is because of their freshly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There may be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Partners who need more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I’ll fall off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically include. Helix is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s made for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it’s delivered to your home. From the moment you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it for free of charge, and get a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, the company locates a local place to donate it. If there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Is Helix Legit
Helix Sleep offers a generous 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the customer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the first owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to use a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress starts to have an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s advised to use cool water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Be certain to clean using gentle circular movements, instead of rubbing.
