Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced with polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleeper Earrings
Helix Sleep allows complete mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to complete a questionnaire that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress variants; each individual option gives a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for side sleepers. While those that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are ideal for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more often prefer the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them great for couples with differing preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and produce less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Sleeper Earrings

Construction Helix Sleeper Earrings
All nine of the different iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density based upon the foams utilized in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the models have all the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 different versions (and supposedly have a model for everybody). Helix Sleeper Earrings
Below, I quickly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some wonderful breathability. However, if you prefer something more lavish, you can choose to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll find a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re likely to encounter some great body shaping. Even though it may seem strange for a supposedly medium firmness bed to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it’s important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in actuality, most of the time it generates quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and establish a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the construction, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are individually wrapped, they’re also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you’ll discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer does not affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on which version you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with more choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam comfort layer is soft and produces some top quality body contouring, while the other materials within the Midnight work to counteract this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For larger buyers or people who want a firmer mattress, there are two more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Majority of side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are needing less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a tinier area. Those who are smaller than average or those looking for lots of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Stomach sleepers will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their primary position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their spine.
Lastly, Helix Sleep recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 pounds or couples who weigh up to 250 pounds each. If you or your partner are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that’s created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with different body types or preferences can also select a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of these models seem quite right, you could always check out the four other variants in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the line).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this will be crucial for many people, those who sleep with a partner may find it especially interesting as it will illuminate just how bothered you may be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper worried that movement from the other side of the bed will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this hybrid. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
When getting a brand-new mattress, the majority of men and women want to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you are going to experience some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you are going to find the individually-wrapped coils and experience fantastic support. This combo will interest a vast range of sleepers, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the bed, the coils stop the mattress from collapsing too much beyond that. I feel very secure seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There may be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Partners who need more space to stretch out typically appreciate stronger edges.
Laying down, I also feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I believe the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it’s delivered to your door. From the moment you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it isn’t ideal, you can return it for free of charge, and get a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not resold or restocked. Actually, Helix Sleep locates a local place to donate it. When there is no way the company can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Sleeper Earrings
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it has limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Of course, you should be the first owner of the Helix to use the warranty, and you need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you will need to use a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix starts to have an indentation of 1″ or more, which is what usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it is recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleaning, it is suggested to use cold water along gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Be sure that you clean using soft circular movements, rather than rubbing.
