Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses manufactured with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleep Ceo
Helix Sleep allows complete mattress customization. Customers are requested to fill out a survey that discusses their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress models; each respective option offers a one-of-a-kind combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are ideal for all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel most comfortable on models with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to favor the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also offers two variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with different preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This model has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate movement well, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Sleep Ceo

Construction Helix Sleep Ceo
All nine of the different iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be rather similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness depending on the foams utilized in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The four different foams used within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the beds have all of the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine distinct models (and hopefully have a model for everyone). Helix Sleep Ceo
Underneath, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses come with the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you would like something more lavish, you can opt to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll find a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you are probably going to encounter some gratifying body contouring. Even though it may seem odd for a purportedly medium firm mattress to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it’s crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage doesn’t necessarily translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it gives quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress is made up of this section of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the construction, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Since these coils are individually wrapped, they are also going to give additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer does not affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on the variant you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which will be very versatile and therefore very popular. If you have more specific needs, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with more options.
Laying down on the Midnight, the memory foam comfort layer is soft and produces some quality body shaping, while the rest of the materials within the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there is enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lower spine while supporting your back in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or those who want a firmer mattress, there are 2 more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Many side sleepers should feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting less pressure while still sticking with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a tinier area. People who are smaller than average or those looking for plenty of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their main position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Finally, the manufacturer suggests Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples who weigh up to 250 lbs each. In the event you or your partner are significantly bigger than average, Helix has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that’s constructed to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with differing types of bodies or tastes can also select a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of those options sound right, you may always check out the 4 other mattresses in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant in the collection).
Next up, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is noticeable from one side of the bed to the other. While this will be important for all people, those who doze with a spouse may find it particularly intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Sleep Ceo
According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that motion from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, then you should not have a lot of concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
While buying a brand-new mattress, the majority of individuals would like to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
While you’re going to encounter some immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you will hit the individually-wrapped coils and find fantastic support. This combination will appeal to a vast assortment of individuals, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the Helix Midnight, the individually-wrapped coils prevent the mattress from collapsing too much . I feel very secured seated on the bed.
In my view, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfortable and secure. Couples who need more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I can get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I’ll roll over or be ejected from the bed. Overall, I believe that the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually come with. Helix is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it’s sent to your door. From the minute you click to buy the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it for free, and receive a complete refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, the company does its best to locate a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Sleep Ceo
Helix Sleep offers an awesome 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it has some limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the customer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you must be the first owner of the Helix to use the warranty, and you need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you will need to have a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no flipping, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water with gentle dish detergent to clean any stains or dirt. Be sure to wash using soft circular motions, rather than rubbing.
