Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced using polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress Jobs
Helix Sleep gives you complete mattress customization. Purchasers are requested to fill out a questionnaire that discusses their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress variants; each respective variant offers a one-of-a-kind combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While hybrids with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while individuals who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with additional support.
Helix Sleep also markets two variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them great for couples with different tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier people. This model has an additional layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a wide assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Mattress Jobs

Construction Helix Mattress Jobs
All 9 of the different iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density depending on the foams utilized in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the variants have all of the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine distinct mattresses (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix Mattress Jobs
Underneath, I concisely talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be thin and stretchy, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you want something more luxurious, you can opt to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you’re probably going to experience some satisfying body contouring. Even though it may seem strange for a purportedly medium firmness bed to feature a memory foam layer, it’s important to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it gives quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This section does not really affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us talk about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on the version you choose. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you have more specific needs, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with additional choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam comfort layer feels soft and produces some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the mattress work to counteract this and create an overall firmer composition. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more models for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Most side sleepers should feel perfectly comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting a bit less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with most their weight on a tinier area. Those who are smaller than average or people looking for lots of pressure relief might want to stay with the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers should feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their primary position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer choices might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so that they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their backbone.
Lastly, Helix Sleep recommends Helix for sleepers up to 350 pounds or partners that weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. If you or your partner are substantially larger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s created to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with different types of bodies or preferences can also pick a dual comfort model that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of these options seem right, you may always check out the 4 other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the line).
Next up, let’s chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is noticeable from 1 side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be significant for all people, those who sleep with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it will show just how bothered you may be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Mattress Jobs
Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils which help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that motion from the opposite side of the bed will wake you, then you should not have a lot of concern with this mattress. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
When purchasing a new mattress, the majority of individuals would like to know whether they will feel like they are sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through those layers, you are going to reach the pocketed coils and feel amazing support. This combo will interest a wide assortment of sleepers, but will suit back and stomach sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the foam compress as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from compressing too much beyond that. I feel very secure seated on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is because of their newly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Couples who want more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe that the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they usually include. Helix Sleep is no different. You customize the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and within two weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it for free, and receive a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not resold or restocked. In fact, Helix Sleep locates a local place to donate it. When there’s no way the company can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Mattress Jobs
Helix Sleep offers an awesome 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to use the guarantee, and you need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you will need to use a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress starts to have an indentation of 1″ or more, which is what generally happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make sure that you clean using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
