Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress In Albuquerque Nm
Helix Sleep gives you full mattress customization. Purchasers are requested to fill out a questionnaire that asks for their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual model provides a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both of these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with different tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide variety of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Mattress In Albuquerque Nm

Construction Helix Mattress In Albuquerque Nm
All 9 of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be fairly similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness depending on the foams utilized in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The four different foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the models have all the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 different models (and hopefully have a model for everyone). Helix Mattress In Albuquerque Nm
Underneath, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you want something more luxurious, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you are likely to encounter some satisfying body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam layer, it’s important to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you’ll discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the comfort layer and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress is made up of this section of pocketed coils. This system brings a supportive lift into the construction, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are individually wrapped, they’re also going to give extra breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This section does not really affect the feel of the mattress too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us discuss their varying feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on the variant you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and thus best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to provide you with more options.
Laying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and generates some high quality body shaping, while the rest of the materials within the mattress work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also help with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s enough good comfort material in the Midnight to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or those who want a firmer mattress, there are two more models for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Many side sleepers should feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you may decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most of their weight on a tinier region. People who are lighter than average or people in the market for a lot of pressure relief might want to stay with the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their primary position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Last, Helix Sleep recommends Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners that weigh up to 250 pounds each. If you or your partner are substantially larger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is constructed to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing types of bodies or preferences can also pick a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those models feel quite right, you could always check out the 4 other beds in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the collection).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this will be significant for all sleepers, those who doze with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix Sleep surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that motion from the other side of the mattress will bother you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
When getting a new mattress, the majority of people want to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience some immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through these layers, you’ll hit the pocketed coils and feel fantastic support. This combination will appeal to a wide range of individuals, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the coils stop the mattress from compressing too much beyond that. I feel very secured sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Partners who want more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix is no different. You create the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and within two weeks, it’s sent to your door. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not what you wanted, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not resold or restocked. In fact, Helix does its best to find a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Mattress In Albuquerque Nm
Helix offers a generous 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it has some limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Of course, you should be the original owner of the mattress to use the warranty, and you need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to have a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix starts to show an indentation of 1″ or longer, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleaning, it is suggested to use cool water along gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain to clean using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
