Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Helix Luxury Hybrid Resellers
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are requested to complete a questionnaire that asks for their weight, height, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress options; each respective model offers a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them optimal for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfy on variants with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both these mattresses have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them suitable for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier people. This variant has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide assortment of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and produce less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Luxury Hybrid Resellers

Construction Helix Luxury Hybrid Resellers
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be rather similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density depending on the foams used in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the models have all the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine distinct versions (and supposedly have a model for everyone). Helix Luxury Hybrid Resellers
Underneath, I quickly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some wonderful breathability. However, if you would like something more lavish, you can elect to swap out the standard cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material to regulate heat.
Comfort Layer – On top, you will discover a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, meaning you are likely to experience some great body contouring. While it might seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness bed to incorporate a memory foam layer, it’s crucial to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, most of the time it generates quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and establish a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the construction, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are individually wrapped, they’re also likely to allow additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will uncover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This section doesn’t really affect the feel of the mattress too much, functioning mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to vary widely depending on the variant you choose. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be quite versatile and therefore best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with additional choices.
Lying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and produces some high quality body shaping, while the other materials in the Midnight work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your back in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or those who want a firmer bed, there are 2 more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Many side sleepers will feel perfectly comfortable on the Midnight, but, if you’re wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you might decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with most their weight on a tinier region. Those who are smaller than average or people in the market for plenty of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Stomach sleepers should feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this is not their main position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their back.
Finally, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers up to 350 pounds or couples who weigh up to 250 pounds each. If you or your partner are substantially larger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing body types or tastes can also pick a dual comfort variant that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of those models seem quite right, you can always have a look at the 4 other mattresses in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Now, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s noticeable from one side of the bed to the other. While this will be significant for many sleepers, those who doze with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that motion from the other side of the bed will wake you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I’d say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
While purchasing a new mattress, most men and women would like to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or laying “on top” of it.
While you’re going to encounter a little immediate sinkage from the soft foam on top, when you sink through those layers, you are going to hit the individually-wrapped coils and find great support. This combo will appeal to a wide range of individuals, but will suit back and stomach sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the bed, the pocketed coils prevent the mattress from collapsing a lot . I feel very secured seated on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is due to their newly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Partners who need more space to stretch out typically appreciate stronger edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the bed without feeling like I’ll fall off or be ejected from the bed. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix is not any different. You create the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it is sent to your door. From the moment you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it free, and get a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, the company finds a local place to donate it. If there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix Luxury Hybrid Resellers
Helix offers an amazing 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the guarantee, and you need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you need to use a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1″ or more, which is what generally happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleaning, it is advised to use cool water with gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Be sure that you clean using gentle circular movements, instead of rubbing.
