Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Helix For Sale
Helix Sleep offers full mattress customization. Buyers are asked to fill out a survey that asks for their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other elements. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual option gives a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, making them perfect for side sleepers. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both of these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with differing tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This variant has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a wide variety of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix For Sale

Construction Helix For Sale
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be fairly similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density depending upon the foams used in order to attain more/less support and more/less firmness. The 4 different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the beds have all the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine unique mattresses (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix For Sale
Underneath, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll find a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow response to pressure, meaning you’re likely to encounter some great body contouring. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam comfort layer, it’s important to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it generates quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the pocketed coils below.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress consists of this section of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you’ll discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer does not really affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their varying firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix is going to vary widely depending on which model you choose. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and therefore very popular. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep is happy to provide you with more options.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam comfort layer feels soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the mattress work to counteract this and make an overall firmer composition. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For larger buyers or those who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Many side sleepers should feel perfectly comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically need to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with all their weight on a smaller area. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Stomach sleepers should feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this is not their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their backbone.
Finally, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners who weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly larger than average, the company has also created a mattress called the Nightfall that is made to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing body types or tastes can also pick a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of these models sound quite right, you could always have a look at the 4 other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the collection).
Now, let’s chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is detectable from one side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be important for all buyers, those who doze with a spouse may find it especially interesting as it will show just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the pocketed coils that help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper worried that motion from the other side of the bed will bother you, you should not have much concern with this mattress. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
When getting a brand-new mattress, the majority of people want to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
While you’re going to encounter some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through these layers, you’ll reach the individually-wrapped coils and feel fantastic support. This combo will appeal to a vast assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the mattress, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from compressing too much . I feel quite secure sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Couples who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I can get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I think that the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and in two weeks, it’s delivered to your home. From the minute you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not perfect, you can return it for free, and get a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, Helix Sleep finds a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix For Sale
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it has limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the first owner of the Helix to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to have a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4″ apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1″ or longer, which is what usually happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Be sure that you wash using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
