Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses made using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced using polyfoam base layers. Helix Brands Customer Service
Helix Sleep gives you full mattress customization. Buyers are urged to fill out a survey that discusses their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other elements. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual option gives a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them perfect for side sleepers. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfy on models with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both these variants have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them ideal for couples with different tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Brands Customer Service

Construction Helix Brands Customer Service
All 9 of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be fairly similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in density and firmness depending on the foams utilized in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the models have all of the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine different models (and hopefully have a model for everybody). Helix Brands Customer Service
Underneath, I briefly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses come with the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. But, if you prefer something more luxurious, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you are likely to experience some satisfying body contouring. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firm bed to feature a memory foam comfort layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it gives quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the pocketed coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Since the coils are individually wrapped, they are also likely to give additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you’ll uncover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on the variant you pick out. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and therefore exceptionally popular. If you have more specific needs, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to provide you with more options.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam layer is soft and produces some quality body shaping, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is just enough good comfort material in the Midnight to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are 2 more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Most side sleepers should feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, but, if you’re needing less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a tinier area. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their main position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer choices might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so that they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Last, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers up to 350 pounds or couples that weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is constructed to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing body types or preferences can also pick a dual comfort option that pairs Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if neither of those models seem quite right, you can always check out the four other variants in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the collection).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be crucial for many sleepers, those who doze with a spouse may find it particularly interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Brands Customer Service
Based on my observation, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, as well as the individually wrapped coils that help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that movement from the other side of the mattress will bother you, then you shouldn’t have much concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
While purchasing a new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the it or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience some immediate sinkage from the soft foam on top, by the time you sink through those layers, you are going to hit the pocketed coils and experience amazing support. This combination will appeal to a vast assortment of individuals, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot beyond that. I feel very secured seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is because of their newly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There may be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfy and secure. Couples who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically come with. Helix is not any different. You create the mattress that is meant for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the moment you click to order the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not what you wanted, you can return it free, and get a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. In fact, the company finds a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Brands Customer Service
The Helix Mattress includes an amazing 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it has some limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you need to use a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that generally happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water with gentle dish detergent to clean any stains or dirt. Be certain to clean using gentle circular motions, rather than rubbing.
