Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Bed Cost
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other options. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress variants; each individual option provides a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them optimal for those who sleep on their side. While hybrids that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more often favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them suitable for couples with different preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a wide variety of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Bed Cost

Construction Helix Bed Cost
All 9 of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be rather similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density depending upon the foams used in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The four different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all of the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine distinct versions (and hopefully have a model for everybody). Helix Bed Cost
Underneath, I briefly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some wonderful breathability. But, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you’re probably going to encounter some great body shaping. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firm bed to make use of a memory foam layer, it’s crucial to remember that the existence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it gives quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the construction, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Since the coils are wrapped individually, they are also likely to allow additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us talk about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will differ widely depending on the version you pick out. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and therefore best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with more choices.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and produces some top quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials within the mattress work to counteract this and create an overall firmer structure. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who prefer a firmer mattress, there are 2 more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Most side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, but, if you’re needing less pressure while still going with a flexible medium firmness, you may want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with most their weight on a tinier area. People who are lighter than average or people in the market for lots of pressure relief might want to stay with the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Last, the manufacturer recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners who weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your partner are significantly larger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing types of bodies or tastes can also pick a dual comfort option that pairs Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of these options feel quite right, you can always have a look at the 4 other beds in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is detectable from one side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be significant for all people, those who sleep with a partner may find it particularly interesting as it’ll illuminate just how bothered you may be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix Sleep surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that motion from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, you shouldn’t have much concern with this mattress. I’d say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While getting a new mattress, most men and women would like to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
While you are going to experience a little immediate sinkage from the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through these layers, you’ll hit the pocketed coils and experience amazing support. This combination will appeal to a wide range of individuals, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit close to the edge of the mattress, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot . I feel very secure seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfy and safe. Couples who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I can get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll fall over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it is sent to your home. From the minute you click to buy the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it for free, and receive a complete refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. In fact, Helix finds a local place to donate it. When there is no way the company can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Bed Cost
Helix Sleep offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the original owner of the mattress to use the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you need to use a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4″ apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1 inch or longer, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For routine cleaning, it’s suggested to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain that you clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
