Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores reinforced using polyfoam base layers. Can\\\’T Sleep On Helix Piercing
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are requested to fill out a questionnaire that discusses their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other factors. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress variants; each respective model offers a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfy on models with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more often prefer the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both of these variants have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them great for couples with different tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for larger, heavier people. This model has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a wide range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Can\\\’T Sleep On Helix Piercing

Construction Can\\\’T Sleep On Helix Piercing
All nine of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be rather similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness based upon the foams utilized in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The 4 different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the mattresses have all the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 unique variants (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Can\\\’T Sleep On Helix Piercing
Underneath, I briefly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you want something more amped up, you can choose to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change fabric for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you will discover a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you’re likely to encounter some satisfying body contouring. While it might seem odd for a supposedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam layer, it’s important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Since these coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer does not affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their varying feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix is going to vary widely depending on the model you pick out. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and thus best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to provide you with additional options.
Laying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam comfort layer is soft and produces some quality body contouring, while the other materials in the Midnight work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who want a firmer bed, there are two more options for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Most side sleepers should feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you might decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with all of their weight on a tinier area. Those who are smaller than average or those in the market for lots of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their primary position or they have a tendency to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Lastly, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples that weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s created to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing body types or preferences can also select a dual comfort variant that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of those models sound right, you can always check out the 4 other variants in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant of the bunch).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is noticeable from one side of the bed to the other. While this will be crucial for many buyers, those who sleep with a partner may find it particularly intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you will be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the quantity and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils that help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that movement from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, you should not have much concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
While getting a new mattress, the majority of individuals wish to know whether they will feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience a little immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through these layers, you will reach the pocketed coils and feel fantastic support. This combination will appeal to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the foam compress as I sit near the edge of the bed, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel very secure seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfy and secure. Couples who need more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix Sleep is not any different. You customize the mattress that is meant for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it’s delivered to your home. From the moment you click to order the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t ideal, you can return it for free, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not resold or restocked. In fact, the company finds a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, they have it recycled instead. Can\\\’T Sleep On Helix Piercing
Helix offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it has limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Needless to say, you must be the original owner of the Helix to use the warranty, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to use a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4″ apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1 inch or more, which is what usually happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s advised to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Make sure that you clean using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
